Week 6 - 10. Build final animation.

During weeks 6 - 10 the students should start building the necessary elements that will be used in the final animation. *Come back in a week or two and I'll start posting examples on how the elements should be prepared and how the final project should be composited.

Week 11. Critique.

Instructor and Students critique final projects...Extra bonus if you can bring in industry professionals to help with the critique!

Once again I hope that helps in getting your guys to think creatively...When I teach After Effects at the College level there are usually 2 Classes I teach...Begginer and Intermediate...I usually give this assignment to the Intermediate After Effects class.

*I should mention that in a perfect world your students should have had at least one Design Class and also a class with Photoshop, Illustrator, an editing program such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Avid, etc... and a 3D Program such as Maya, 3DS Max, Lightwave, Cinema 4D, etc... Before diving into an After Effects class. Also during the first 6 weeks they should also be doing hands-on tutorials from books, the web or DVD for classwork and homework.
